I can wrap my head around how to build that in terms of variables and events, but I want to be able to keep track of these stats in a custom menu, and that's where the limitation is hitting me. For instance I would like to add stats to the game that are used for checks outside of battle, so they wouldn't be part of the battle system stats in the database, it would be like for instance a charisma stat that if raised to a certain level would allow you to interact with certain NPCs that you wouldn't otherwise be able to. I was hoping there was a plugging out there that would give me the flexibility I need to make really simplistic custom menus. I've seen a couple menu plugins for MZ but they seem to be pretty flashy and I'm not too sure how to fully customize them. I understand that with some JavaScript and knowledge this wouldn't be too hard but that is way too much for me to take on right now. This means that I want my menus to be very simple, and different from how the default is in MZ. As opposed to trying to reinvent the wheel with a completely new type of game, I want to build a game that's akin to the Golden age of 2D jrpgs. It is heavily inspired by games like final fantasy and dragon quest. Hello all! The game I'm building is intentionally very simple.
